The Archbishops' letter to the nation

The Archbishops of Canterbury and York published a letter to the nation on 26 January regarding the terrible milestone of 100,000 deaths from Covid-19.  You can read the letter here.

There are a number of prayer resources available on the Church of England Website: www.ChurchofEngland.org/PrayerForTheNation

One of the prayers on the website is:

A prayer for those who mourn

Gracious God,
as we remember before you the thousands who have died,
surround us and all who mourn with your strong compassion.
Be gentle with us in our grief,
protect us from despair,
and give us grace to persevere
and face the future with hope
in Jesus Christ our risen Lord.
